Jay L. Bach
Artistic Director/Conductor

In January 2004, Jay L. Bach accepted the position of Director of the ISB.  He has played euphonium in the ISB and served as Assistant Director since June 1997.  He is currently Director of the Carroll High School Band in Southlake and is also a low brass specialist in the Carroll School System.
 
Mr. Bach received a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Fort Hays University, Hays, Kansas, and a Master of Music Performance from East Texas State University, now Texas A & M University - Commerce, Texas.

Lola Brown

Irving Symphonic Band President

In December 2003, Lola Brown accepted the position of Irving Symphonic Band President. She has played clarinet with the band since 1996. She began playing the clarinet at age 12 and played all through high school and was in the Northlake College Jazz Band in 1982. She then put her horn down for 15 years for a career. After seeing the band perform at the Irving Independence Day Celebration in downtown Irving, she joined the band and began playing again.

Lola also homeschools her three children and performs with the Plymouth Park Baptist Church Orchestra.

Billy Gresham

Billy Gresham, Director of the Icenhower Intermediate School Band, holds a M.M. Ed. from East Texas University, where he studied clarinet under James Deaton.  After graduating, he pursued his career as a band director in Mt. Pleasant, Texas from 1985 - 2004.  His passion is working with beginner band students and watching them grow into fine young musicians.  He has been a member of the Irving Symphonic Band since 1998.
